About this artwork
I love waterfalls, and this painting was inspired by a similar waterfall, although this exact scene doesnÕt exist, shares artist Joanie Ford. Opting to use pastels for this piece, Joanie played up the bright pigments. I wanted this painting to be full of color and mood, with a shallow foreground where the viewer could imagine walking up to the little stream and maybe feel the mist from the falls on their face.
