I spent two weeks in the summer painting at the Chalk Hill Artist Residency on the Warnecke Ranch in Sonoma County, CA. I enjoyed many hours of observing the light throughout the day while taking walks around the lake. This painting represents memories of a peaceful afternoon meditating on the shore. This painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Victoria

Victoria Veedell loves capturing the essence of nature by creating landscapes that are not necessarily seen, but felt. She enjoys traveling and has completed residencies everywhere from India to Japan. When she’s not painting, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring. She finds inspiration in everything she sees, such as the moody and misty qualities of fog. Victoria currently lives in California. Fun fact: she is from Texas but no one would ever guess that unless they tried her spicy Lasagna — it includes jalapeños!
