I have always enjoyed working large-scale, but I recently created a smaller piece and loved how the small brushstrokes could represent so much more in a little piece. This is my second painting in a series of small urban city scenes. The painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Whitney

Whitney Babin primarily creates art based on the urban environment, although she recently started working on a series of abstract portraits. She currently lives in Lancaster, Philadelphia where she works as an art teacher. She takes inspiration from the city as well as photographs to create moody, dark cityscapes and also bright, abstract pieces.
