About this artwork

Trix is a favorite cereal for the young and old, says artist Karen Barton. The familiar wide smile of the bunny stirs joy and the sweetness of childhood memories. The vibrant red box is set against a pastel yellow background while a white rabbit stands behind a full bowl of milk and cereal. Karen describes her paintings as being of a historical nature. She seeks out subject matter that represents a contemporary culture that also acts as timeless icons. The results are aesthetically pleasing little pieces that offer a freeze-frame of our fast-changing culture and attach to personal memories.
