The title "Sailing Away" refers to the sailboat in the lower left corner. The lighthouse built upon a rocky seacoast has been abandoned for decades and will eventually crumble. I would prefer being on the sailboat, sailing away. This painting is on heavyweight paper, which has been mounted on board. It will need a frame for display.

Getting to Know Robert

Robert Holewinski paints realistic places with his own spin, and also throws in some fictional characters like Shrek. He currently lives in Florida and finds inspiration in the work of artists like Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Henri Matisse and Paul Cézanne. In his work, and that of others, he enjoys being able to see each brush stroke. Fun fact: he used to work for Disney.
