This is a painting of the floating subject in water, looking up through a clear pink tube. The figure is relaxed and offers the viewer a different perspective of a summer day in the water.

This piece is on a cradled wood panel with finished edges. It comes varnished and ready to hang.

Getting to Know Jennifer

Jennifer Hannaford grew up finding calm and freedom in the waters of California. After studying forensic science in college, she created a series of mug shots using her fingerprints; these mug shots are what inspired her to try her hand as an artist (no jail time was served!). Jennifer’s art allows her to explore beautiful moments of the living experience that have been frozen in time on canvas. She balances a scientific approach to the human form with a beautiful sense of mystery and romanticism. Her underwater scenes come across as otherworldly, and her figures seem ethereal and almost mermaid-like.
