With this series, I wanted to explore ideas of time and memory as they could be contextualized in a painting. I chose contrasting colors to play off each other, and that resonated with me aesthetically. As I painted, I added layers while removing elements from previous ones. I liked the idea of eliminating parts of previous layers to give a faint impression of what was left behind. This painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.
