This work is comprised of many layers: first, layers of bright colors, such as green, yellow, and blue. Then, layers of deep alizarin, and dark reds. Finally, I apply layers of pure cadmium red, white and sky blues to give a sensation of the depth that light through leaves create. I contrast organic branches and geometric shapes to create a contradiction that keeps the eyes flickering between the two.
