About this artwork
The artist routinely explores landscapes hidden from the casual eye. One day, after making her way through tall goldenrod and big bluestem prairie grasses, she came upon one of Mother Nature's jewels -- a small, crystal clear lake. Suzanne remembers, it was surrounded by reeds and water plants. I was truly alone, but not lonely as I listened to birdsong and lots of frogs. That small lake became the subject of this painting.
