I uncomfortably relate to this painting. Alone in my mind. I feel lonely in groups, especially when we have very little in common. The girl in this piece has a far away look, and an even farther away mind. Here in body, but not in soul. This piece is on a cradled wood panel with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Jenny

Art is Jenny Hambleton’s lifeline of expression. More often than not, her subjects are heroines, as her paintings represent what she senses to be heroic about women and nature.  Jenny used to sketch every detail and plan every color combination before she started a piece, but now she draws only the basic lines and paints intuitively from there. When she’s not making art, Jenny rides her horse (Noble), reads, travels, writes, and spends time browsing Pinterest. Fun fact: Jenny was once the voice of the shoes in an Adidas commercial; she sang "Take me to the river".
