About this artwork
Artist James Hartman depicts a group of sailboats docked neatly on the harbor. Glistening turquoise waters sway gently before a vivid green forest. Broken colors of red, blue, and yellow accentuate the boats and masts as they dissolve into abstraction. This view is of a spot right near my studio, shares James. I chose oils for this work for their slow drying and buttery qualities.
