The California Eucalyptus trees in Marin and Sonoma Counties are one of my favorite things to paint. This is a piece inspired by my love of the tree and not necessarily an exact location. Hopefully my work is reminiscent of the early California impressionists that I've always admired.

This piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Steven Guy

Steven Guy Bilodeau prefers to create his works in one session, so that he can hold on to the emotional connection between himself and a piece. He often works en plein air and was originally inspired by early California painters called The Society of Six. He currently lives in California and admires the work of Edward Hopper and Maynard Dixon. When he’s not painting, he plays classical guitar and sells antiques.
