I love to read. It was not initially intentional for this painting to be who she became--confident, centered, branded--but as I continued on using this gray-blue it just encompassed her. Then, out of nowhere, this glowing appeared around her and I just had to paint her story--The Scarlet Letter. The painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Jenny

Art is Jenny Hambleton’s lifeline of expression. More often than not, her subjects are heroines, as her paintings represent what she senses to be heroic about women and nature.  Jenny used to sketch every detail and plan every color combination before she started a piece, but now she draws only the basic lines and paints intuitively from there. When she’s not making art, Jenny rides her horse (Noble), reads, travels, writes, and spends time browsing Pinterest. Fun fact: Jenny was once the voice of the shoes in an Adidas commercial; she sang "Take me to the river".
