The top half of this piece was inspired by one of my favorite artists, Cy Twombly. I adore the freedom and repetition in his work, and tried to emulate his colors and spontaneity in the upper, abstract portion. I have become more fascinated lately in what it means to be a woman, how I feel about it, and how it defines me but also allows me to relate to other women throughout history. The painting is varnished and ready to hang. The wrapped edges are white.

Bigger is better. For Amber Reid, the actions required to create large art are directly linked to the power of her pieces. She loves to create pieces that engulf the viewer. She draws inspiration from many feminists and performance artists of the 60s. To tell a story racked with emotion, Amber creates work with words and lines from her favorite books or songs.

Very excited to have just purchased 'Pilgrim Soul.' It will look beautiful in our new house and pays homage to my incredible wife.- D Lemieux
My husband and I love the piece we just purchased. (Wolf). It is the perfect blend of the feminine and the masculine, fantasy and realistic, rugged and refined. It speaks to me on many levels. I look forward to seeing more of your work.- M David
