About this artwork
In this painting, I wanted to capture a traditional and a contemporary style of representational painting, says artist Jose H. Alvarenga. He portrays youth with the plump green grapes and age with sweet raisins. My inspiration was to paint that box of raisins with its many tiny details and for that reason, I used the tiniest brushes available, the 20/0!
