About this artwork
On this piece I painted a little Dutch ceramic windmill souvenir with a small Delft blue windmill drawing. In the background there's another windmill scene: a copy of Jacob Van Ruisdael's 17th century painting The Windmill at Wijk Bij Duurstede. I love the combination of a cloudscape and landscape in the same painting and all those wonderful details makes it one of my favorite landscape paintings.
