I was walking along the beach in Del Mar, California during high tide and the water was so high I couldn't walk all the way to the end on the beach like I usual can.  I loved how the waves came up and crashed up against the rocks and walkways.  My favorite part of the painting is the reflection of the palms in the wet sand.  This piece is varnished on masonite board and will need a frame for display.

Getting to Know Rachel

Rachel is a self-taught artist who began developing her skills at a young age. She attributes her thirst for creative pursuits to her childhood travels and early exposure to different cultures. Rachel’s impressionistic style and bright color palette illuminate each subject she paints, particularly her florals. Balancing life as a painter and mom of three young girls has been tricky, but Rachel has figured it out! She homeschools her daughters, and they make time to create art as a family.
