Copper reflecting off of white linen is the essence of this painting.  This copper pot was handed down to me through generations in our family and always evokes warm feelings in my heart.  I paired it with a vintage flow blue cup and elegant white roses on white linen in this composition to further express the idea of simple moments of sweet reflection. The panel was prepared by affixing linen to Gatorboard.

Getting to Know Pamela

Pamela Blaies unexpectedly discovered her passion for art. A move with her family put her children in sad spirits, so to cheer them up she painted murals on their bedroom walls. With time, she began looking forward to painting more and more. She works in “alla prima” style, a technique in which artists don’t wait for paint to dry and work with layers of wet paint. The effects of light and shadows in the world greatly influence her work.
