An abstracted totem. Weldon explains that he looked at flags and rock formations as reference. Strong palette of brilliant red, royal blue and black set against a neutral background. Dimension added with white paintwork.
Weldon Ball creates bright, abstract landscapes that oftentimes let viewers fill in the details of a nature scene. He currently lives in West Tennessee and finds inspiration in landscapes from the Southeast or his visits to Europe. He advises viewers of his art to really pause and appreciate the color and the way that they create space, depth and an inner source of light.
