Every day I drive past this beautiful field on my way home on the coast.  From year to year, the flowers change, but the distant trees and mountains remain steadfast.  This is one of my favorite scenes just off Highway 92 heading west towards Half Moon Bay.  The work on this painting spans 3 years.

Getting to Know Sheila

Sheila spends many hours studying clouds from the cockpit of her sailboat on the California coast. She's frequently blessed with beaming sunrises and storms that create beautiful displays of light streaming across the ocean or shimmering off the nearby coastal mountain range. Sheila's award-winning paintings have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States and Europe. She has received recognition from the National Arts Appreciation Program, and her work has been exhibited at the prestigious L'Espace Bateau Lavoir in Paris.
