Suren Nersisyan
Los Angeles, California
Suren is an impressionist painter eloquently capturing nature, landscapes, and cityscapes in paint. His body of work reflects several different stylistic approaches. Suren’s scenes in oil are inspired by Impressionist masters Monet and Van Gogh, while his watercolor series of flowers and birds are influenced by Eastern styles of painting and the colors of the Middle Eastern environment. Suren believes his role as an artist is to remind viewers that we all are part of the same natural universe.

I love the Van Gogh inspiration of this piece, the bold and loose use of color. I have a watercolor by the same artist and find satisfaction in the airy joyfulness of his watercolor style. His impressionist style oil paintings are as colorful as they are eye-catching. I enjoy his art immensely.
- J FowlerMr. Nersisyan's water color of this beautiful sea turtle is brilliant! Our input was important to him and he obviously listened and also enjoyed revisiting the subject because this beautiful piece is exactly what we had hoped for. From the detailed expression on her face to the tip of her back flipper, everything is perfect. We plan for this to just be the first in our Suren Nersisyan collection!
- C MooreThe piece looks great on my wall and I might buy another of your artworks. My friends all like your painting. It was a fantastic experience!
- W han tungI recently purchased one of Suren's bird watercolors. It is beautiful! What a talent!

Hi Frank! Thank you so much for your compliments! Cheers, Suren
Hi Suren- "Morning in Central Park" arrived quickly with thanks and it brought back many fond memories of my extensive time living and working in New York. I will continue to follow and admire your work. Cheers, Frank
Thank you so much!
I bought this painting because of its colors and the light post. It is such a peaceful scene. Best wishes to you. MS

thank you!
We have been “eyeing” your work for some time and have selected “Bluebirds and Berries” based not only on our love of the eastern bluebird, but for the realistic depiction that you have rendered in watercolor. The symmetry and delicate coloring of the birds are enhanced by the berries. Although I am unfamiliar with the type of berries, the color and placement of the berries enhance the overall composition.
Thank you very much:)
This is an absolutely stunning painting. The colors are vivid, with great attention-to-detail in the shading of the blades of tropical grass.
Just purchased "Forgotten Town" can't wait for the painting to arrive.
I recently purchased one of Suren's bird watercolors. It is beautiful! What a talent!

Bought LA at twilight. I lived in LA for years and I admired this piece.

Love this piece. The perfect medium for these colors and for the transition from one color to the next- no "hard" lines. It's a really great effect. Thank you, Suren!
this painting shows the soul of a time gone by.
Thank you for your compliment! I am glad you like it! Best, Suren

I love your artwork. I am looking for flowers in a cut crystal vase. If the pomegranate picture is still available I love that too. Do you ever do flowers in crystal vases?

This watercolor has great energy and vibrancy. I had it framed in a walnut frame and cream mat, which enhanced the image nicely. The framer said the painting made him hungry! The fact that I am half-Armenian myself influenced me none at all in purchasing this painting--LOL~
Just came back from Mississippi Museum of Arts Gala Fundriser " Sketches of Spain". Introduced some of my works and helped the museum as much as I could. After, was very nice to see how people reacted. Please follow the link if interested: http://marshacannon.org/2014/04/15/suren-nersisyan/
I plan to give this image of Chicago to someone who has moved away but still loves the city. On the other hand I may keep it myself !
Paintings are very beautiful. I like the almost all the painting. I am also an artist live in NJ. I wanted to sell my paintings also.
The picture (Mountains in Fall) cannot fully represent this piece. It can look completely different depending on the lighting. During the day it has a mostly cool bluish tint to it, but at night under incandescent lighting (at a slight angle), the foreground turns a warm orange that really pops out compared to the mountains giving an impressive 3D effect. Its like have 2 paintings in one!
Captivatingly Beautiful - I was instantly drawn to this painting. It evoked for me the same feelings I had on my trips to Greece, walking along narrow cobbled streets in the bright sunshine. I could practically smell the salt air. In person, this painting is even more beautiful. Both the imagery and technique stirs the feelings. Everyone that walks into the room where it hangs is instantly drawn to it, smiling and mersmerized.
This painting looks great on my living room wall. It reminds me of my undergraduate days
I'd love to have this if it were larger!
There is a ballad titled ‘But Beautiful’ – J. Van Heusen & Johnny Burke. I call this painting ‘But Beautiful’
Thank you very much!!!
Saying outstanding is not enough, but Museum quality says it all. I love it - bravo
