A midwest spring scene of wild turkeys. Soft light on the field. Predominantly green palette with nice contrasting pops of lavender. The wooded area in the background creates depth and draws the eye back through the composition. The turkey in the bottom left balances the scene.

Getting to Know Nathan

Nathan Hager paints the outdoors and captures its beauty while adding his own twist. He describes his paintings as "rooted in traditional representationalism while celebrating the craft of painting." He currently lives in Minnesota and finds inspiration in Representationalism and Impressionism. The Nicolai Fechin show at The Museum of Russian Art also sparked an interest in the work of Russian Impressionists.
