Shrimp are one of my favorite things to paint. The colors are really tricky. You can't use orange. It's no deep enough in hue. You have to use hot pink, mixed with bright red and bright yellow to get the right orange color.

Getting to Know JJ

Jill Galloway likes to paint everyday objects and people with a dynamic style reminiscent of Pop Art. She also finds inspiration in things like vintage images. Jill currently lives in Maryland and has been influenced by many art movements, ranging from Pop Art to Impressionism. Fun fact: when she’s not painting, Jill volunteers at a local homeless shelter.
