Cafe scenes are one of my favorite subjects to paint. I always try to create a story around my subject. In this particular scene, I suggested "She Was Surprised to See Him." This is a little cafe in Gettysburg, PA. This piece is on canvas board and will need a frame for display.
Virginia Beach, Virginia
Faye Vander Veer encapsulates the beauty of the everyday in her paintings. She oftentimes catches interactions, such as an exchange between a little girl and her mother. She once painted a work based on a young woman she saw sitting on a rock in the middle of a stream. Faye currently lives in Virginia and has been greatly influenced by Édouard Manet, Edgar Degas, John Singer Sargent and Claude Monet.
