This piece is a little different in that I incorporated a bit of color to my otherwise neutral color palette. Forest green is my favorite color, and I wanted to experiment with it. The color of summertime in Tennessee is forest green. It isn't just out in the forests and farms, it is everywhere. I live downtown in Music City, and when I look out my studio windows, all I see is this color green. The painting is on gallery wrapped canvas with white edges. It comes ready to hang.
Abstract artist and Tennessee-native Morgan Fite paints delicate compositions that allude to natural forms and changing light. She paints with neutral tones and feathery brushstrokes that give her art its soft and dreamlike quality. She is inspired by her travels and cites the earthy tones of Central Africa and the textures of Roman architecture as particularly influential. For each piece, she begins her process by selecting a color palette from her collection of flowers and rocks. Throughout her portfolio, Morgan strives to make art that invites, moves, and inspires.
