The sun's last rays light up the sky moments before nightfall over the Gulf. A walk along the shore in late summer was the inspiration for this painting.  "The surf's rhythm seemed almost magical that evening," says Gail.

Getting to Know Gail

Gail Greene’s paintings rarely end up the way she started them. After an initial block in, she steps back and studies the canvas. Whether it’s adding a spontaneous waterfall or painting new cliffs, she’s usually tinkering with something. Her intention with art is simple – to make the viewer feel good. When she’s not making art, Gail has her hands in many different pots. She’s a retired realtor, currently owns and operates a pet sitting service, and loves working in the garden in her spare time. The easel, though, is where Gail lets herself get lost.
