About this artwork
I had driven 3 hours to get to an artist's reception that got canceled due to impending weather, says artist Judy Mackey. My friend suggested we spend our afternoon shoe shopping to fill the time. She pictures the fashionable kitten heels she bought that dayÑretail therapy as consolation. Judy paints the piece with a brush and palette knife for a more painterly approach.
