This painting shows a view looking east over West Los Angeles and the LA Department of Water and Power while the sun, falling away to the west over Santa Monica , lights up the ragged edge of a storm. The painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas and the edges are white. It is wired for hanging.

Los Angeles, California

Getting to Know Jesse

Jesse’s scenes of Los Angeles capture the essence of the city with compelling accuracy. The artist’s landscapes, often set at dusk, convey the glowing natural beauty of the West Coast, but also the industrial sprawl of California’s largest city. The juxtaposition of concrete and beaches, streetlights and sunsets represents the constant tension between humans and nature. While many of the scenes appear picturesque at a glance, upon closer look the viewer sees the omnipresence of man. And yet, amid the expansive urban jungle, the magical rays of the sun manage to shine through.
