This was the first piece in a new series I started inspired by light and simplicity. I began using primarily whites or neutral tones for the background. It symbolizes a new start, a blank canvas if you will, which is why I named it Prelude - the beginning of something new. On gallery wrapped canvas with white edges. Wired to hang.

Getting to Know Morgan

Abstract painter and native Tennessean Morgan Fite uses primarily neutral tones and is inspired by light, nature, and the changing seasons. She is also heavily influenced by her travels to Europe, Africa, and Haiti. Morgan’s first step in her creative process is mixing colors, which she sources from rocks and flowers she collects. Her color palette is subtle and quite limited, so these initial choices play a large role in shaping the work. Morgan strives to make art that moves, inspires, and invites.
