This painting is part of a larger set of paintings exploring the juxtaposition of close, clear shapes with what lies just out of focus beyond those shapes. The soft brush strokes and pastel color palette contrasted with a few pops of bright color and strong lines of the palette knife create a very desirable and interesting composition.

Getting to Know Sarah

Sarah Parsons always knew she could not go a day without painting or creating. She finds inspiration in musicians, creatives, artists, and fellow dreamers. Nature continues to be a force in her creativity as well; she spent many childhood summers on the beaches of Cape Cod and grew up surrounded by the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Besides working as an artist, she is a pastor; she meets with, encourages, and challenges people to pursue their dreams. She currently lives in Tennessee.
