This piece is a continuation of my "Pine" series. I contrasted the airiness of the sky and water with the solid forms of the ground and pine trees. The painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished black edges. It comes wired to hang.

Have you ever stared out at the landscape so intently that when you close your eyes, you see a bright, abstracted version of the scene move across your eyelids? Weldon’s paintings are like surreal visions of the nature in front of us. This painting caught my attention with its wonderful balance of color. My eyes continuously circle the canvas, starting with the warm pink glow of the sunset and moving clockwise around the tree and into the cool evening shadows of the lake. A gorgeous moment of blurred reality.
