This painting reminds me of when my family and I would go to see Granny Maria on
Sunday for lunch.  This pasta was her favorite dish, and she made the sauce with fresh tomatoes and herbs. I love remembering sweet moments spent with her! This painting is on gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Lucia

Lucia’s hyper-realist depictions of food are enough to make even the passive observer salivate. Based near Asti, Italy, Lucia creates paintings that strive to be even better than reality. Her crisp backgrounds contrast with and highlight the vibrant colors of her edible subjects. Lucia has an impeccable understanding of color theory, and uses only four colors when she paints: red, yellow, blue, and white. She mixes her other delicious hues using only this primary color palette. Lucia is proud to work for herself doing what she loves. She finds joy going into the studio to her colors, favorite music, and “the smell of turpentine in the air!”
