This is a stylized recreation of the corner at Georgetown's M Street and Wisconsin Avenue.  I found it interesting because of the tiny Italian restaurant located next to bigger buildings.  The painting is on watercolor paper and mounted on birch plywood with an off-set cradled mount.  It comes ready to hang.

Getting to Know Robert

Robert Holewinski paints realistic places with his own spin, and also throws in some fictional characters like Shrek. He currently lives in Florida and finds inspiration in the work of artists like Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Henri Matisse and Paul Cézanne. In his work, and that of others, he enjoys being able to see each brush stroke. Fun fact: he used to work for Disney.
