I often take a drive down to Big Sur for the day. It's less than two hours from the San Francisco Bay, and is incredibly inspiring for me as the sweeping views remind me of my native New Zealand. The windswept cliffs, rugged ocean and plentiful wildflowers are an artist's dream, and I never get tired of capturing them in a gestural fashion with my palette knives! This piece is on gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. It comes ready to hang.
