Stanislav Sidorov saturates his canvas with the expressive color characteristic of the Russian Realist School. While he is a versatile painter, Stanislav prefers painting the small town charms found in architecture and urban environments. He achieves a textured feel by using the pallet knife to apply copious amounts of emotion.

I love this painting for its sense of place, its depiction of light distorted through rain, and especially its depiction of wet streets and walkways reflecting light and from both the street and interiors. The painting did not look right in the place where I first planned to hang it among a number of others, it was too large and too vivid, so I moved 2 framed photographs to that wall and hung this painting alone on a wall elevated above a table with a small lamp. At night the lamp illuminates this painting from below and brings out all of its special qualities. Very happy to own this painting.- M Olbrisch
Just received "New York Street Under the Rain." I LOVE IT! I love rain and you do such a great job of the painting being rain but colorful and "feel good." I'm so happy with it. Thank you for making your art available on this site.- D Gibson
Stanislav, I received your "Romantic Umbrellas, Times Square NY" earlier than expected and it is everything I hoped it would be - exciting color and real texture. Keep up the great work and I'll be following your career. Cheers!- Frank
