Gary Leonard
Germantown, Wisconsin
Through composition, color, texture and more, Gary Leonard celebrates beauty. His works start with the subject, but then he lets the work evolve into a more complex composition. Oftentimes, he enjoys merging figures with abstract images and varying textures. He hopes that his works will leave the viewer with a sense of warmth and peace. When he's not making art, he enjoys listening to music and learning how to play the piano.

I purchased this piece for our home in Florida. The house is decorated Tuscan Villa style. I was drawn to this piece for it's mood and colors Unfortunately when it arrived,I felt that the painting was overpriced. It was smaller in appearance than I had pictured it to be. (Even given the dimensions it just seemed like it should have been a much larger piece). I was ready to return the painting but decided to sit on it for a few days. Like most art lovers, a piece has to "speak to me". And that she did for I decided to keep the painting. My intention for this review is not to insult the artist. For the painting is quite moving. I only want to express my feelings in regards to the price of the art versus what is available elsewhere. And I am certain when The White Dress is framed, she will make quite the statement in our home. For the colors and content will follow the feel of our home. All the best to the artist, Gary Leonard.
very nice,Leonard.

Thank you so much for your comments. It's exciting to hear that my work has brought you happiness. It really provides a great deal of inspiration in creating new work knowing my work has made a special connection. Sorry to hear about your loss and wish you all the best in your efforts to rebuild. Gary
I absolutely love the movement & expression in this piece. I'm not a dancer & my daughter is a musician so I'm not typically "drawn" to this topic, but this piece is amazing! One day I hope to own something so beautiful. We are rebuilding our home after a house fire destroyed it & everything inside last December - including some art pieces that were special to me. I wish I had the budget right now, but one day... Thanks for sharing your gifts.
Gary, I love the way you captured the lighting on her butt. :)
