The geisha is by far my favorite subject. Here I painted one walking into the light, surrounded by playful shapes. In several areas of the piece I squeezed paint directly from the tube, creating texture and contrast. Gold leaf peaks through and forms some of the lanterns.   This piece is on gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. It comes ready to hang.
