In this piece I painted a vintage lighter from 1986. I always wanted to paint this lighter because of its age and interesting details, and when I was looking at the reflection of my eyes, I got even more inspired. When I paint, I contemplate the subject I'm trying to portray. The more we observe the more we learn to capture the unique beauty of each of our subjects. This piece is mounted on a cradled wood panel with mahogany stained sides (not pictured).
