This painting is my latest creation as part of my series, “Coastal Clouds”, based on one beautiful late afternoon in the early Spring when I was walking my sweet old Chocolate Lab along the bluffs south of Half Moon Bay. As we finished our walk, the golden sun fell lower in the sky and some spectacular storm clouds rolled in along the Pacific Ocean. The vivid colors and subtle patterns were breathtaking! Every few seconds the sky would change in color, tone, and pattern. I spent the next hour taking photos of these beautiful skies in an effort to commit to memory as much as possible. This particular image captures the storm front itself as it passes over Pillar Point. This piece is on a gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. This painting is wired and ready to hang.
