I find that my artwork usually reflects something about where I am personally. I painted "Breaking Free" at a time when I was starting to have a lot of breakthrough both creatively and personally. It almost looks as if the canvas is peeling away to reveal something that's been previously hidden.

The painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with unfinished edges and comes wired to hang.

Getting to Know Morgan

Abstract painter and native Tennessean Morgan Fite uses primarily neutral tones and is inspired by light, nature, and the changing seasons. She is also heavily influenced by her travels to Europe, Africa, and Haiti. Morgan’s first step in her creative process is mixing colors, which she sources from rocks and flowers she collects. Her color palette is subtle and quite limited, so these initial choices play a large role in shaping the work. Morgan strives to make art that moves, inspires, and invites.
