This semi-abstract botanical painting was inspired by the orchid plant in my studio. After years of not blooming, I was convinced it would never flower again; but then this year, after finding it a new pot and a new spot on the window sill, it has bloomed non-stop. For me, it was an inspiring reminder of how a change of scenery can lead to personal rebirth and reinvention. In the months to come, I hope to follow the lead of my little orchid and make this a year of reinvention and growth.
