This barn and pastures are located in Virginia near where General Robert E. Lee passed with his troops on the way back from Gettysburg, PA during the American Civil War.  The barn owner has a display showing some small items such as buttons and pipe pieces he has found over the years. This piece is on heavyweight paper that has been mounted on board. It will need a frame for display.

Getting to Know Robert

Robert Holewinski paints realistic places with his own spin, and also throws in some fictional characters like Shrek. He currently lives in Florida and finds inspiration in the work of artists like Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Henri Matisse and Paul Cézanne. In his work, and that of others, he enjoys being able to see each brush stroke. Fun fact: he used to work for Disney.
