I recently had the pleasure of housing two young cats for my daughter and son-in-law while they were away on a vacation. I have always loved cats and still miss Kimble, the cat I had for many years before he passed away. These two cats, named Aslan and Lucy, provided me with the pleasure of feline company even if for a short time. True to form for most cats, these two made themselves at home within a short time and picked their favorite spots. In this case, Aslan is on the left with one eye open while his sister, Lucy slept peacefully and nearly oblivious to my presence.

This painting is on gallery wrapped canvas with finished white edges. It comes varnished and ready to hang.

Getting to Know Onelio

Onelio Marrero paints city scenes of everyday life. In an impressionistic style he captures the romanticism of New York City, the picturesque fountains in Central Park and the wet city streets after a rainy afternoon. His use of warm tones creates a sense of nostalgia and the feeling that you have visited or seen this particular scene before. Onelio will often paint from direct observation, or he will work from a combination of photographs and combine numerous sources into one piece. In this way his work combines reality with fantasy, creating a new story with each painting. His work captures an appreciation for beauty in all of its greatest forms; nature, art, and people.
