About this artwork
Broken shapes create a map-like form as if this is an imaginary city somewhere, says artist Tomo Mori. Each piece is cut from painted canvas swatches and pasted with meticulous attention. The surface is covered with a South Asian vintage fabric as the background. The colors were applied with acrylic ink blending to represent the different hues of emotions underneath all of our lives. Tomo recommends having this piece framed in contemporary white or classic gold.
