My inspiration for “TreasureScape I" came from a dream where I was at Treasure Island Beach behind the Montage in Laguna Beach, CA. This series was done "en plein air," created on the beach in my dream. Materials include eco-friendly oil with no added chemicals, organic sand, multiple layers of international textures, metallic earth pigments, ink, and recycled glass particles. I utilized binoculars to abstractly observe peaceful water, sand, rocks, and light angles. Advanced mixed-media displays some 3-D aspects. This heavy textured piece is on a cradled wood panel with finished silver-gold edges. The piece is part of a series of three works which connect together as a triptych, or may be sold separately as stand alone pieces. It comes ready to hang.
