"Through this painting, discover your own path," says Clemence. "The questions are answered in the eyes of the character." To create the piece, Clemence textured the canvas and painted in acrylic with metallized foil inserts. The foil adds vibrance and a sense of abundance to the work.

Initially everything is abstract, gestural and intuitive for Clemence Dubois. A shape becomes a bird, a fish, a flower or a character. Her paintings capture colors and shapes that words have yet to say. She says, “I want people to look at my paintings and observe my feelings for beauty in all forms and my joy of living that permeates my art.” Clemence likes to read, watch television, swim and travel. She also leads workshops in creative and figurative painting.
