About this artwork

Artist Steph Gimson imagines an abstract vintage composition of a hare wearing a top hat and a suit with a long-legged crow. Part of her Whimsical collection explores fantasy themes and surrealism. She draws inspiration from the 1800's French caricaturist JJ Grandville, beginning the piece as an abstract and then developing it into a story. Steph collages the characters seamlessly into the paintings to create a fun narrative.
