I used opposing mediums to illustrate the effects of climate change, in this case, the arctic melt. The result of this process creates a very unique texture and interesting color. This piece was made with enamel, oil, acrylic, and metallic pigments on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes varnished and ready to hang either horizontally or vertically.

Getting to Know DL

DL Watson creates semi-abstract paintings with floral and botanical references. Splitting her time between Florida and Oregon, she finds inspiration in the patterns that repeat themselves throughout the natural world. While her paintings are often grounded in her own childhood memories and past experiences, they evoke a beauty that is universal in their natural subject matter. She creates interest and intrigue through the color and movement that she uses to balance her composition.
