Life is about time and the special moments or feelings we had that are tattooed in our memory. It is as if they are framed. This piece is made of stencils, holography foil, acrylic paint, and dimensional objects on a cradled masonite board. The painting continues around the sides and comes varnished and ready to hang.

Getting to Know Darlene

Darlene McElroy sees creating art as similar to reading Turkish coffee grounds – a story becomes revealed as one looks at the surface, texture and color. Her works use a variety of materials ranging from acrylics paints to collage. She currently lives in New Mexico and has been greatly influenced by the work of Robert Rauschenberg. She encourages viewers to search for their narrative interpretation when viewing a work.
