Scroll over or click to zoom This piece, as many of my tree related works, was inspired by my concern for our planet. If trees could walk, I think they would get as far away from humans as possible. All works from the SPLINTERED WISDOM series are created on paper mounted wood panels artfully painted & splashed with pure watercolors. The rich texture of the trees are created with collaged bits of images of bark & litter, as a gentle reminder that if we do not stop trashing the planet, trees will not grow from our garbage in the future. The overall result is an aesthetically alluring composition with a hidden message about protecting our forests. - Linda Klein If Trees Could Walk LINDA KLEIN Watercolor, graphite, collage on wood Natural wood edges Varnished and Ready to hang One-of-a-kind Signed on front and back 2016 24" h x 24" w x 2" d 8 lbs. 0 oz. $1,000 SHIPS FREE ADD TO CART IN YOUR CART Add to Favorites Add to Registry Linda Klein San Anselmo, California Follow this Artist Unfollow this Artist Getting to Know Linda Linda Klein is an eco-conscious mixed media artist from California. She applies her passion for the environment to her work. “Many of my collaged tree pieces are created with bits of litter that I clean up off of scenic highways,” Linda says. “Each painting contributes to cleaning up our planet and turns ‘trash into trees.’” By repurposing litter as collage material, Linda dutifully reminds her viewers that recycling is key to a thriving future. The artist lives in Marin County, where she feels grateful to have inherited her mother-in-law’s large art studio that is always filled with light.
